Infertility poses many challenges and can cause psychologically distress, emotionally stress and financial difficulties for both partners. Established in 1991 by the late Dr Saeid Kazemi Ashtiani, Royan Institute was one of the firsts to get its hands on infertility issues in Iran. So far, about 53,000 babies have been born by ART in the Institute. Royan Institute has also tried to broaden its horizon by training human resources.
By the grace of God and constant efforts of experts and researchers, Royan Institute placed among top 10 centers in the world working in the field of infertility according to Andrologia published in 2019.
Some of Royan Institute’s successes are:
The first IUI baby born in 1991
The first IVF baby born in 1993
The first baby from an embryo frozen after IVF born in1994
The first ICSI baby born in 1995.
