Post-Positive Pregnancy Test Care Guidelines

Congratulations! You have entered a new stage of your journey. To help protect your health and the well-being of your baby, please read and follow the instructions below carefully.

Essential Care and Recommendations

Continue Your Medications
Please continue taking all medications prescribed after embryo transfer exactly as directed by your physician.

Do not stop, replace, or add any medication (including herbal remedies or supplements) without consulting your doctor.
Rest and Physical Activity

Continue relative rest and, until advised otherwise by your physician, avoid strenuous physical activities and sexual intercourse.

Emotional Well-being

Maintaining peace of mind and minimizing stress are among the most important factors in supporting an early pregnancy.

When Should You Contact the Center Immediately?

If you experience any of the following symptoms, please contact the Royan Center midwifery specialist immediately (Tel: 23562000, Ext. 5021) or your treating physician:

•    Spotting or vaginal bleeding
•    Severe abdominal or pelvic pain/cramping
•    Severe and persistent nausea and vomiting
•    Fever or chills
•    Severe abdominal bloating
•    Noticeable decrease in urine output
•    Shortness of breath or breathing difficulties

Confirmatory Test

A repeat pregnancy test is usually performed 48 hours after the initial positive result to ensure that pregnancy hormone levels are increasing appropriately.

First Ultrasound Examination

Approximately two weeks after the positive pregnancy test, you will be scheduled for an ultrasound examination to assess the location and viability of the gestational sac.

Your health is our priority. Please share any questions or concerns with us, even if they seem minor, so they can be reviewed by a specialist if necessary.
